Sleep study

well I met with the nurologist today and he had decided for me to go to two sleep studies. However those can't be scheduled until the begining of December. So I  have those appointments. My PCP's office called today to tell me I have a dietician consult this Friday in Clarksville. I also scheduled my surgeon appointment for Nov 6. My insurance has a program where if you need transportation they will provide it for you and since my car is doing good to get around town and Clarksville is 3 hrs from me I have decided to use this service. However my PCP's office and I have gone around and around to get this scheduled hopefully my PCP's office is able to get this all straightened out tomorrow.

Psych Evaluation

well, the results are in and Im not crazy. I have evidently one underlying problem that stemed from my childhood. Which I will be working on. Also I have a verbal IQ of 106 and a performance IQ of 94 which gives me an overall IQ of 100 which is average. The psychologist has given the go ahead for the surgery. I now have an appointment with a nurologist. So I can get the sleep study out of the way.

Psych Tests

Ok I did my Psych Tests yesterday and let me tell you that was an interesting experience. I got to play with blocks, imagine things in ink blots, make up a story for a picture, and a few other unusual things :) All I have left are my sleep study and my dietician consult. My PCP's nurse said she would be getting back with me at the end of the week on that. *crossing fingers*

Okies I went to the shrink on friday he attempted to pick my mind and even talk me out of the surgery. However in the end he told me that he knows that more than likely Ive already made my mind up about this so he will write his report as he has gone over the pros and cons of the surgery with me and that I am capable of understanding them and capable of making such a decission. I still have to go back and take a few tests though. Hopefully he will call me back this week to schedule the testing.

Good news called the surgeon and I need to have a psych evaluation, a nutrition consult, and a sleep study. I already have an appointment with the shrink for tomorrow. :) Woo HOO Still working on the rest. Hopefully I can get all this done before the end of the month. Then get in with the surgeon next month and have surgery scheduled in December :)

Well it appears this journey is about to get of to a good start. My case manager with the insurance called today to let me know that she spoke with a surgeon's office in Clarksville and they do not have a BMI limit and is now working on getting an appointment for me :)

Weighed myself today and I am now 364lbs and a BMI of 67 thats minus 6 lbs from 11 days ago and only 39 lbs to lower my BMI to 60 (which is what I need in order to have the surgery done locally.)
